Building Futures

Building A Brighter Future

The "Building Futures" program, developed by the Fulfill Within Foundation, is a comprehensive support system to assist young adults aged 18-26 transitioning from foster care to independence. It recognizes the multiple challenges that these young adults often face, including education, housing, healthcare, and employment. The program offers a suite of core services. These include providing transitional housing that offers a secure and supportive living environment, training in homeownership to help the participants manage the responsibilities of owning a home, and personal and life skills development covering areas like budgeting, credit counseling, and household management.

Additionally, the program has community linkages for self-sufficiency, including offering educational support, helping with employment and vocational training, and providing healthcare assistance. One of the primary goals of the "Building Futures" program is to grant emancipated foster youth access to affordable permanent housing, providing them with stability, security, and an opportunity to be a part of a community. The program also aids them in developing essential life skills, creating wealth, and fostering empowerment. The "Building Futures" program aims to nurture these young adults holistically to ensure their successful transition into independence and affordable housing.

The Building Futures program helps Wake, Johnston, Wayne, Nash, Sampson, Wilson, and Harnett County, NC, young adults.
